Knightdale, N.C. -- Rachelle Friedman is now the mother of a baby girl.

Rachelle was paralyzed in 2010 after an accident at her bachelorette party. A year after the incident, she married Chris Chapman. Her father pushed her wheelchair down the aisle instead of walking her down it, arm in arm.

But her dream to be a mom came true thanks to help of a surrogate.

"The accident made me want kids even more," she said.

On Sunday, April 26 Rachelle and her husband Chris welcomed baby girl Kaylee Rae Chapman.

The accident happened when Friedman was celebrating with her girlfriends in Virginia Beach, Va., about a month before she was supposed to be married. After being pushed into the pool, she awkwardly hit the cement bottom.

"It was not, `What am I going to do?"' he says. "It was, `what are we doing to do?' ... I just didn't know what to do next. It was one step at a time," she told WFMY-TV earlier.
