HOUSTON — Police are searching for a man in connection with the shooting death of a Houston family attorney.
The victim, Jeffrey Limmer, 46, was shot and killed after he tried to intervene in an argument between a customer and employees at a west Houston McDonald's over the weekend.

Officers with the Houston Police Department called to 8147 Katy Freeway at about 6 p.m. on Saturday.
According to police, Anthony Martin Landry, 57, was arguing with McDonald’s employees because he wanted a refund for his order. Limmer stepped in to try to calm Landry down, but he instead turned his attention to Limmer.
Limmer and Landry went outside and an argument started. Limmer pushed Landry down, according to police, then went back inside the restaurant. Landry went to his car and pulled out a gun and shot Limmer multiple times, police say.
HPD said Landry got away in an early 2000s blue Ford pickup. He is charged with murder.
Limmer was an associate at the Houston office of the Lewis Brisbois law firm. According to his biography on the company's website, Limmer attended the University of Texas at Austin and the South Texas College of Law.
His family released the following statement after news of the murder charge:
"Our family is relieved to learn that the suspect has been identified, and we pray that he is apprehended as soon as possible so that he cannot hurt anyone else. Additionally, we are praying for the safety of law enforcement as they work to bring him to justice.”
