WANTED: 'Young' robbers who stole cash register from crowded Wingstop in west Houston

Police need help identifying the two suspects.

HOUSTON — Houston police are looking for thieves who stole a cash register from a Wingstop in west Houston.

The robbery happened on Thursday, March 14 and was captured on surveillance video. 

Houston police said the two thieves, who appeared to be "very young," walked inside the Wingstop on Westheimer near Briarpark Drive, approached the cashier and pretended to order food. 

Surveillance video shows one of the guys looking around the restaurant before he grabs the cash register. The second person took off before the other one was able to shake loose from the cashier and run off with the cash register. 

Police said the person with the cash register knocked a child over as he was running away. Fortunately, that child was not seriously hurt. 

Police need help identifying the two. One of them was wearing a red hoodie with yellow, pink and blue letters on the front of it. The other had on a green hoodie with a black backpack. Based on the surveillance video, they both appeared to have dreads.

KHOU 11 decided to blur the faces of the thieves because police said they were "very young," which means they could be juveniles.
