HOUSTON — Deputy constables blocked some roads in Houston’s EaDo neighborhood after a water main break was reported early Tuesday morning.
Drivers heading through the area, including the Polk exit from the Eastex Freeway, were surprised to find the high water on a day without rain.
Water was gushing from the ground at Polk and Hutchins before 5 a.m. and wasn't shut off until about 8 a.m.
Work crews were called in and got a handle on the situation — repairs must now be made.
No businesses appeared to be flooded. The cause of the break was not immediately released.
