Shooting victim found dead after crash on Eastex Freeway feeder in northeast Harris County

Several witnesses saw a red Mustang heading westbound pull alongside the victim's vehicle and someone inside started shooting. Several shots were fired.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A man was found shot to death early Monday under the Eastex Freeway in northeast Houston. 

After he was shot, the victim crashed on the feeder near the Aldine Bender intersection. He was dead when Harris County deputies arrived. 

Several witnesses saw a red Mustang heading westbound pull alongside the victim's vehicle and someone inside started shooting. Several shots were fired.

Witnesses said the victim lost control, struck a concrete median and crashed into a concrete support beam. 

The suspect or suspects got away and the motive is still a mystery.

The unidentified victim was in his 50s, according to HCSO.
