HOUSTON — Big changes ahead this week after such a lovely weekend. Temps will rise into the 70s to near 80 Tuesday afternoon, before a strong cold front drops temps into the 40s with wind and rain on Wednesday.

Expect a cold rain to develop with a north wind as temperatures drop during the morning on Wednesday.

Travel to north and west Texas will be impacted by sleet and snow. Bridges and overpasses may become icy in the Dallas area on Wednesday.

In Houston, just a cold rain on Wednesday. Some computer models suggest our northwest counties may see a few snow flakes before sunrise Thursday morning, but with surface temps remaining above freezing, no impacts are expected here.
