Deputies need help finding suspect accused of shooting, killing man inside Buick in NW Harris Co.

Deputies need the public's help with locating 19-year-old Matthew Schnaare. They said he shot and killed a man sitting in the driver's seat of a Buick Friday.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Homicide investigators have identified the suspect accused of shooting and killing a man in northwest Harris County Friday.

Deputies said 19-year-old Matthew Schnaare was captured on surveillance leaving a restaurant in the 16600 block of Highway FM 529 in a blue colored hatchback style sedan.

Investigators said Schnaare later got in a car with a 20-year-old man who was sitting in the driver's seat. Deputies said an altercation took place inside the car and Schnaare shot the man then left.

The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

Deputies are asking anyone who may know the whereabouts of Schnaare to call the homicide division at 713-274-9100.

Crime Stoppers may up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of Schnaare.
