HOUSTON — A Houston fire captain is relieved of duty pending an investigation into child pornography charges, KHOU 11 News confirms.
Ryan Steckler, 36, is under administrative investigation after he was arrested by the Houston Police Department under 10 charges of possession of child pornography.
According to court documents, Steckler uploaded 11 pornographic images of children to his computer last October.
HPD received a tip about it in January, court documents state.
Steckler has been employed by the fire department for 14 years. It was not immediately clear whether he is represented by an attorney.
