HOUSTON — At the end of the day, we all want to sleep soundly, so here are three things you can do to make that happen.
ONE: Get outside. If you do it while working out, even better, but the key is just to be exposed to bright light. That keeps your circadian rhythm on time.
TWO: Cut back on blue light. Not all light is created equal. Bright light is good, but blue light -- the kind from your phone or TV -- is not. You can change your phone's settings with help from F.lux and Night Shift to block it. Or just turn your phone and TV off a couple hours before bed.
THREE: Set a sleep schedule. You should be waking up and going to sleep at the same time every day with less than an hour difference - even on weekends!
