Help us Carry The Load on Sunday, May 19.
We will meet at Combined Arms downtown at 6 p.m. and walk to Minute Maid Park as we remember those we have lost in the Armed Forces. We'll walk to Houston Fire Station 8.
Carry The Load is a non-profit dedicated to providing active, meaningful ways to honor and celebrate the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes -- military, law enforcement, firefighters and first responders.
This non-profit was created to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day. Carry The Load wants to celebrate first responders and military service women and men year-round.
We hope to see you all out to Carry the Load on May 20. KHOU 11 News anchor Len Cannon will be the emcee for the event, and KHOU 11 staff will also be onsite.
