Brazilian grandparents convicted in international kidnapping case suing former son-in-law

HOUSTON — The Brazilian grandparents convicted of helping their daughter kidnap her son from Houston and take him to Brazil are now suing the boy’s father.

Carlos and Jemima Guimaraes said Chris Brann lied during their trial in Houston, leading to their conviction.

Carlos was sentenced to three months in jail while Jemima was sentenced to one month.

Their attorney plans on holding a press conference Wednesday.
