Score! Astros, Karbach team up for Crawford Bock beer

"The easy-drinking ballpark beer pairs perfectly with peanuts, hot dogs and a good 7th inning stretch."

HOUSTON — Baseball and beer are a natural match, so it’s no surprise the Houston Astros have teamed up with Karbach Brewing Co. to bring fans a new beer, and give back to the community at the same time.

Crawford Bock is described as a “smooth, easy-drinking ballpark beer and “a home run every time!” The can design is a blend of old and new with a nod to the old-school Astros rainbow uniforms and the Crawford Boxes section at Minute Maid Park.

“What's even easier than jacking a dinger into the Crawford Boxes? How about cracking open a delicious Crawford Bock?” The Karbach website says.

And it pairs perfectly with peanuts, hot dogs and a good 7th inning stretch.

Even better, a portion of sales will benefit the Astros Foundation and its community initiatives, which include youth baseball and softball, military support, childhood cancer awareness and efforts to reduce homelessness.

“Everything we do is for our fans and our community and Crawford Bock exemplifies this,” said Matt Brand, Astros Senior V.P., Corporate Communications. “Our hope is that whether folks are watching an Astros game at the ballpark or in their own home, this beer will take the fan experience to the next level.”

Crawford Bock will be sold at the 2019 Astros Fan Fest on January 26 in section 113.

Beginning in March, Crawford Bock will be available at Minute Maid Park, along with local grocery and liquor outlets and on tap at select restaurants, bars and pubs across Texas.
