The Gulfton Story Trail celebrates Houston's diversity

The nonprofit has partnered with the Mayor's Office Of Cultural Affairs and the Houston Arts Alliance to honor the community's rich and diverse history through the "Gulton Story Trail" project.

HOUSTON - They say a picture is worth a thousand words and in the case of the Gulfton Story Trail… it's true. Artists inspired by poetry have created 12 murals to add to Houston’s growing collection.

Dr. Aisha Siddiqqui, the founder of CHAT and artist, Alex Arzu sat down with Great Day Houston Host, Deborah Duncan, to discuss the project.

CHAT, which stands for "Culture Of Health Advancing Together", fosters the health and well being of immigrant and refugee communities here in Houston. The nonprofit has partnered with the Mayor's Office Of Cultural Affairs and the Houston Arts Alliance to honor the community's rich and diverse history through the "Gulton Story Trail" project.
