The Astros dropped Game 2 of the ALCS in Boston 7-5.

Mookie Betts hit a double in the eighth inning to score Rafael Devers, the final run of the game for the Red Sox.

They go to Houston with the series tied 1-1.

Game 3 at Minute Maid Park is scheduled for Tuesday at 4:09 p.m.

---

9:03 p.m. Lance McCullers Jr. entered the game to pitch for the Astros in relief in the seventh inning, but he walked Mookie Betts, who advanced all the way from first to home on a series of wild pitches and passed balls.

It gives the Red Sox a 6-4 lead over Houston.

---

7:28 p.m. Jackie Bradley Jr. put the Red Sox back up with a base-clearing double off the left field wall.

It gives the Red Sox, who had the bases loaded, a 5-4 lead in the third inning.

---

7:25 p.m. Marwin Gonzalez is staying in the game after jumping into the left field wall, trying to make a play at Fenway. Gonazalez had just hit the go-ahead home run in the top half of the third inning.

---

7:12 p.m. Marwin Gonzalez blasted a home run to left field in the third inning.

The baseball absolutely jumped out of Fenway for a two-run shot, putting the Astros up 4-2.

The home run gave Houston a new Major League Baseball record, homering in 14 straight postseason games.

---

6:50 p.m. George Springer doubled to right field to bring in Carlos Correa and Martin Maldonado, tying the game at two runs apiece.

---

6:35 p.m. Rafael Devers singled to left field to put the Boston Red Sox up 2-0 in the first inning with the bases loaded.

Ian Kinsler struck out following the Devers at-bat and Jackie Bradley Jr. grounded out to second base to end the inning.

But the damage was done. Boston takes a 2-0 lead into the second inning.

It's hard to imagine two runs will do the Astros in, and there's plenty of baseball left to play.

---

6:25 p.m. A single to right center field by Andrew Benintendi put the Boston Red Sox up 1-0 in the first inning of Game 2 at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox then advanced two runners in scoring position when Xander Bogaerts hit a chopper to Cole, but the pitcher sent an errant throw to first base.

Cole then walked Steve Pearce to load the bases.

---

6:15 p.m. Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman walked in the first inning to give the Astros two baserunners. But Red Sox starter David Price was able to work his way out of it.

Price followed the two free passes with strikeouts against Yuli Gurriel and Tyler White.

George Springer led the inning off with a pop out to first.

It's scoreless going into the bottom half of the inning with Gerrit Cole on the mound for the Astros.
