Houston Zoo to host 'Silent Disco' for adults only tonight

Visitors can explore the zoo and see animals from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then the real party starts.

HOUSTON - For three nights this summer, the Houston Zoo is staying open extra late for the 21-and-up crowd.

Each event will be held the third Thursday of the month. Below are the dates and themes for the "After Dark" events:

May 17 - "Silent Disco"

June 21 - "Sip and Sea"

July 19 - "Goin’ Country"

Visitors can explore the zoo and see animals from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then the real party starts. The zoo says from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m., entertainment will be provided as well as cold beverages and food. Admission is $35 per event, or $90 for tickets to all three nights.

"After Dark" is an adult-only event and no children are allowed. Guests must have a valid photo ID. The zoo says the events will be held rain or shine.
