HOUSTON – Two Houston men face charges of racing on a highway after being arrested by Precinct 5 deputies.

According to the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office, riding inside one of the sports cars was an 11-year-old boy.

Deputies said Damian Garza, 19, and Roberto Carbajal, 25, were observed racing in the 11400 block of the Katy Freeway, reaching speeds at or near 100 miles per hour at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Garza and Carbajal were arrested for allegedly racing on a highway and booked into the Harris County Jail. Deputies said the 11-year-old child, who was related to Garza and was riding in Carbajal’s Chevrolet Camaro, was released to another family member.
