HOUSTON – Houston police say a man died after crashing into the Halliburton sign along N. Sam Houston Parkway.
It happened on the eastbound side of the parkway west of Milner Road around 2 a.m.
According to HPD Lt. Larry Crowson, the Lexus SUV veered from the parkway into a grassy area and went over a hundred feet before crashing into the sign. The impact was so intense the front of the vehicle was crushed.
As of 3 a.m. police expected the parkway to remain closed eastbound, but the tollway’s mainlanes remain open.
