HOUSTON — If you love animals and love beer even more then you are in luck!

The Houston Zoo is planning their first-ever Brew at the Zoo event where you get a chance to taste various beer samples and save animals all in the same breath. Zoo officials said elephants, jaguars, sea lions and more will put on special presentation as you sip on some of the best beers from Texas and surrounding areas.

The event is presented by Groupon. There will be live music by local artists and attendees can also participate in a special animal-themed Trivia Gone Wild game for a chance to win exclusive zoo prices. Pub-style grub will be available for purchase throughout the event.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 26 from 7-10 p.m. rain or shine. You must be 21-years-old and older to attend. Tickets are $45 and that includes entry, a souvenir beer mug, six beer sample passes, and more.

If you are not interested in drinking you can buy a $25 ‘Designated Driver’ ticket. That ticket includes entry to event and free, non-alcoholic beverages all night.
