HOUSTON – Two suspects remain at large after leading police on a short chase in a stolen truck in north Houston overnight.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers spotted a stolen pickup truck just before midnight late Wednesday on Airline Drive near the North Loop. HPD attempted to stop the driver, but the suspect took off, leading police on a short chase.
Police said the pursuit headed south and then ended up back near where it started. That is where two suspects jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
The suspects ran into a neighborhood, police said. HPD searched with a K-9 unit and helicopter for about an hour, but were not able to find the suspects.
Police said the pickup truck was recovered and towed.
