A young woman will be serving more than a decade in federal prison for holding up two northwest Houston auto parts stores.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said 24-year-old Latoya Taylor robbed an Advance Auto Parts in the 1800 block of West Mount Houston with a gun in April 2017.
A few days later, Taylor walked into an AutoZone in the 22oo block of West 43rd St. and pulled a gun on two store employees, according to authorities.
All of the employees identified Taylor as the robber.
A federal judge Wednesday sentenced Taylor to more than 11 years in prison.
The robbery investigation was coordinated by the Houston Law Enforcement Violent Crime Initiative.
