HOUSTON — A former Harris County Sheriff’s deputy has been arrested on two counts of sexual assault of a child.
Keith Maeweather, 37, was taken into custody on Tuesday.
The alleged victim was under the age of 18.
During a court appearance, Maeweather was ordered not to contact or harass the victim or his family.
His bond was set at $30,000 for each count.
HCSO confirmed Maeweather once worked for them but they said he was fired in March 2017 for reasons unrelated to the criminal charge.
