Houston Astros fans made noise by celebrating in their rivals' ballpark on Opening Day.

ARLINGTON, Texas - Houston Astros fans made noise by celebrating in their rivals’ ballpark on Opening Day.

For an opener against that north Texas baseball club, the Astros win felt like a “finally” for fans.

“Well they’re our in-state rival,” Cory Seel said. “We got used to them kicking our butt a little bit. So it’s the first time we can come up here, pump our chest out and say come and take it.”

Local astros fans scored tickets early.

“The only thing we missed was the banner coming down,” Steve Camber, an Astros fan said.

While season-ticket holders Steve Rowe drove up with his wife last minute.

“We couldn’t wait until Monday,” Rowe said. “We’re going Monday too.”

They tried not to be rowdy. Then George Springer hit a home run.

“We yelled, jumped up, yelled and then sat back down real quick and apologized to everybody,” he said.

Outside Globe Life Park, some high-fived Orbit’s look-alike. Others struck victory poses for photos.

Most Astros fans left thrilled to see their champs at it again.
