A Langham Creek High School student was arrested Wednesday for allegedly bringing a gun to school.
Cy-Fair ISD officials say a student brought a gun to campus and reportedly showed it to other students. The students immediately reported the incident to administrators.
District police recovered the weapon and arrested the student.
“Please know that we take matters like this very seriously. The students who made the report are to be commended for following safety procedures,” principal Dave Hughes said in a statement. “As always, we encourage parents to talk to students about the responsibility of reporting unsafe situations at school – ‘if you see something or hear something, say something.’ We appreciate your partnership as we work to provide a safe environment for our students.”
