Local woman searching for 'kidnapped' leprechaun

Charla Sisk designed her leprechaun and sewed him by hand while her father battled cancer. It was her way of coping with the loss of her father.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Charla Sisk is still waiting for Russell to come home.

"He had been kidnapped," Sisk said. "Just gone out of thin air."

It happened on St. Patrick's Day 2015 inside Bakers St. Pub in the Woodlands.

"When I came back, he was gone," Sisk said.

Russell is Sisk's leprechaun.

"My dad's name is Francis Russell Moore," Sisk said. "I named him after my dad."

She designed him and sewed him by hand while her father battled cancer. It was her way of coping with the loss of her father.

"He was Irish, and I loved that part of him," Sisk said. "I wanted to do something to honor that."

Now every St. Patrick's Day, she spreads the word hoping to get Russell back.

She's hoping this year is finally the lucky year.

"I do want it back, and if someone would just -- no questions asked -- bring it back, I'd really appreciate it," Sisk said.
