HOUSTON - A 3-year-old and two men were injured during a drive-by shooting in southwest Houston Thursday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
The toddler was riding in a vehicle with his father and 7-year-old sibling when the shooting occurred on Dashwood Drive.
HPD officers said in a media briefing Thursday night, the two children and their father were innocent bystanders driving down the street when the shots were fired.
HPD released surveillance footage of the shooting on Friday.
The toddler was shot in the foot and his father was also hit. Both were taken to the hospital and they are expected to survive. The 7-year-old was not injured.
The third person injured was a 21-year-old man who was shot in the neck. He is also expected to survive.
At this time, it is unclear how many gunmen were involved. Officers do believe the shooting was gang-related.
Investigators said they are looking for a gold Cadillac sedan that took off after the shooting.
