The Tom Savage era in Houston is officially over. Per his agents, the former Texans starting quarterback is now a member of the New Orleans Saints.
Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed.
Savage started seven games, going 1-6. He was knocked out of his final start, suffering a concussion against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Texans showed no outward interest in retaining his services. The fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft ends his Houston career with 9 starts in three years, going 2-7 while completing 57 percent of his passes with five TDs and 7 INTs. He also fumbled 8 times in 223 pass attempts last season.
