Family of four safe after home burns down in NE Houston

The Houston Fire Department assisted the Eastex Volunteer Fire Department with the house fire on Hartwick Road and Allwood Street. The family of four was able to escape the home with no injuries.

HOUSTON – A family of four is safe and unharmed after they escaped their burning home in northeast Houston.

The Houston Fire Department assisted the Eastex Volunteer Fire Department with the house fire on Hartwick Road and Allwood Street.

The HFD Fire Chief said when they arrived on scene the house was engulfed with flames. The home is a total loss.

A vehicle that was parked in front of the home was burned down as well.

The Harris County fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

No firefighters were injured.
