Driver pinned by metal pipes after crash in NW Houston

The crash happened around 10 p.m. along W. Mount Houston at N. Houston Rosslyn.

HOUSTON – Houston firefighters rescued a driver who was trapped in his pickup after a violent crash on the northwest side late Tuesday.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. along W. Mount Houston at N. Houston Rosslyn.

It appeared the man was heading westbound on W. Mount Houston when he left the road for unknown reasons and crashed through a fence and into an industrial park. His pickup flipped onto its side and crashed into large metal pipes.

The driver was pinned inside until firefighters arrived.

A child’s car seat was thrown from the crash, but it appeared the only person inside was the driver.

He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
