More than 2,800 homes remained without natural gas on Sunday in northwest Dallas as Atmos Energy crews continued to replace miles of gas lines throughout the neighborhood where a home exploded on Feb. 23.

Most of the homes in the affected area, which stretches from just north of Northwest Highway to Walnut Hill Lane and sits on both sides of Marsh Lane, remained without access to gas service Sunday evening, according to Atmos' outage map.

Residents who do have gas service available have to make an appointment with Atmos to turn their gas back on.

A 12-year-old girl, Linda Michelita Rogers, died in the explosion last month. A memorial outside of her home continued to grow Sunday.

Mourners had left a bundle of pink, black and gray balloons, flowers and a small teddy bear.
