SUGAR LAND, Texas - A boy was hit and killed while riding a bicycle in Sugar Land Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.
The boy was riding his bike on Dulles Avenue around 12 p.m. when he was hit by a truck and dragged underneath the vehicle, police said.
The boy was trying to cross a driveway when the teenage girl driving the truck hit him.
Saturday evening, Dulles Middle School confirmed to families the boy was a student at the school. The school sent an email to parents notifying them of the tragic accident.
No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
