Pct. 4: 2 adults, 3 juveniles arrested in burglary ring

Two adults and three juveniles have been arrested in connection with a burglary ring in north Harris County.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Two adults and three juveniles have been arrested in connection with a burglary ring in north Harris County.

According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, during January, deputy constables were dispatched to the 800 block of North Oak Drive in reference to several reports of burglaries of a habitation.

Deputies said the pattern was quickly recognized and a crime analysis was assembled, which showed 29 burglaries believed to be committed by the same suspect(s) and provided the primary days and times that the suspects were operating.

With this information, the constable’s office moved additional assets into the area and were able to gather information on possible suspects.

Deputies were able to identify several suspects through video surveillance footage captured from surrounding residents.

Deputies have charged three juveniles with burglary of a habitation and two adults with theft.

Precinct 4 deputies continue to investigate and additional charges may be filed on all suspects including two additional juveniles.

The investigation has linked these five individuals to 24 burglaries so far and the total continues to grow.

Camrell Stewart and Darcell Smith were charged with theft. Both suspects were already in the Harris County Jail on unrelated charges. Their bond is set at $1,000 each.

The three juvenile suspects have been charged with burglary of a habitation. One juvenile has been arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. The other two will be arrested shortly.
