UT's Women in Engineering Program puts on the event every year.

Jamie Brown is a mother of two. She brought her nine-year-old daughter, Lucy to check out the event.

"I think it's never too early to get her started thinking about where to go to school, get an interest in education in engineering and science, especially as a girl," said Brown.

Lucy said she likes science because she likes making slime.

More than 150 student groups, community organizations and companies volunteered.
