Wrangling a ride to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo can make you want to throw your hat in but with a little planning rodeo travel and parking doesn’t have to be a headache.
One option is roping a ride with METRO. The bus and rail price is just $1.25 for the day, kids 5 and under are free.
There’s also METRO Park and Ride or the Rodeo Express Shuttles. Although most of the parking is free for these services, the shuttle will cost between $4 and $7.
If you prefer to be dropped off, there’s always Uber, a taxi or Lyft.
This year, Lyft is the Rodeo’s official rideshare partner with a pick up and drop off location as the green lot on the west side of NRG Stadium.
Here’s a bonus, Lyft will surprise 400 riders with free BBQ Cookoff tickets.
For those who’d rather have their own wheels, that’s an option too; for $20 there is onsite public parking available at the Miller Lite yellow and teal lots.
