HOUSTON - In 1978, Treebeards began serving tasty home style lunches with Cajun flair to Houston's downtown crowd.
Forty years later, the restaurant is still at it and sometimes entrees sell out before lunch is over.
Treebeards now has five locations, all downtown and all open for weekday lunch only. If you are in one of the restaurants at closing time on Fridays you may receive one of their scrumptious desserts for free.
