Weather Blog: Oh hey, humidity

With dew points (the measure of amount of moisture in the air) matching our air temperature, you know the atmosphere is saturated. It is a sticky start to the day.

HOUSTON - A south wind will keep us warm and feeling sticky for the first portion of the day.

With dew points (the measure of amount of moisture in the air) matching our air temperature, you know the atmosphere is saturated. It is a sticky start to the day.

But after so many painfully cold winter days, we are talking warmer temperatures and yes, a big rise in the humidity. You probably noticed that yesterday.

Love it or hate it, this is a pattern you need to get used to, as almost every day next week we will see a rain chance with temperatures returning to the 70's and 80's.

Already in the upper 60's and low 70's - wow! A/C needed first thing this morning and you will need it through lunch!

We will reach our high temperature of the day by 1pm this afternoon. Then a 'cool front' arrives. Not sure if you will notice much of a change except a slight rain chance.

After a slight drop temperatures for Saturday, we will return to nearly 80 degrees with highs staying just about the same through next week.
