Daisy Ridley says there 'have been conversations' about 'Tomb Raider'
There is a disturbance in the Force of the best kind.
Daisy Ridley, aka Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, aka our favorite human being alive, is in talks to play Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot.
The actress told The Hollywood Reporter that there “have been conversations” about her taking on the iconic role, but she hasn't been officially offered it yet (us to the producers: WHY NOT?!)
“I’m waiting for someone to say ‘I want you, let’s do it',” she said, also noting that there isn't even a script for the film yet (meh who needs a script when you've got Rey? OK wait we take that back).
What makes the whole thing even better? Ridley's movie (and we assume, IRL) BFF John Boyega is a huge proponent of her going for the role.
“I played Tomb Raider the game, it’s a new take and I think the movies are going to be based on that version,” he told THR. “But I texted Daisy (and) was like, ‘this is you!’ and ‘you need to get on that because you could be Lara Croft.’ She should be."
So who can we call to make this happen, hmmm?
