Zendaya adores her mullet, doesn't care what you think

Zendaya's most infamous hairstyle? Her 2015 Oscars locs.

She (and we) thought she channeled Lisa Bonet, while Giuliana Rancic tried to joke that Zendaya "smells like patchouli oil ... or weed," which resulted in death threats and Fashion Police drama.

But a close second is this:

She arrived at the 2016 Grammys in a tux and Bowie-style mullet.

In a new interview with The Coveteur, the actress and singer expanded on the retro hairstyle that's more likely seen paired with dad jeans and trucker hats than designer fashions on the red carpet. "My favorite look lately, I know some of my fans like this and some of my fans don’t and that’s the whole point but I really like this short, blonde situation," she said. "And my mullet, which had been so dramatic."

Her message to mullet-haters? Get used to it.

"Because it’s different, a lot of people are afraid of what’s different," she said. "The mullet’s coming back everybody! I’m not going to wear it often but when it does come back, I’m going to look at everybody and say, ‘Now you all want to wear my mullet.'"

So in a year, when you're all chopping your long bobs into mullets, you'll know who to thank.

Business in the front, party in the back.
