'Space Jamilton' is the mashup we didn't know we needed

You can call it sacrilegious, a bitter affront to the saccharine nectar that is childhood nostalgia, a desecration of the holy oeuvre of American musicals — but you’d be wrong.

What YouTube creator Matthew Ahn has given us with his stirring Space Jamilton is a gift, one which should be loved and cherished and downloaded with reckless abandon. Ahn has labored tirelessly to blend two of the greatest artistic feats to emerge out of the last two decades: Joe Pytka's Space Jam and Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton.

Granted, they have nothing in common topically. And, admittedly, they seem incongruous at first. And, OK, maybe I Believe I Can Fly would have resonated more. But you didn't spend hours in Audacity for this. Ahn did.

Now, excuse us while we go HAM.
