Janelle Monae is one of many female music stars performing 'This Is For My Girls' in support of school opportunities for 62 million girls worldwide.

First Lady Michelle Obama is getting by with a little help from her musical friends, who are performing a song designed to raise support for the needs of 62 million girls around the world who do not have access to education.

This Is For My Girls features such singing stars as Janelle Monae, Kelly Clarkson, Missy Elliott, Kelly Rowland, Lea Michele, Zendaya, Jadagrace and Chloe and Halle. Hit maker Diane Warren penned the tune, which is executive produced by AOL Makers.

Timed to the release of the song, the First Lady will participate in a South By Southwest panel Wednesday that will feature Warren, Elliott, Queen Latifah and Sophia Bush. The panel will feature a performance of the song and a discussion of the Obama Administration’s Let Girls Learn initiative. The panel will be streamed at 12 p.m. ET Wednesday at Makers.com, which features a large video collection of women's stories.

Singing stars are helping First Lady Michelle Obama raise awareness about millions of girls worldwide who lack access to education.

Proceeds from sales of the song, which will be available on iTunes, will go to the Peace Corps’ Let Girls Learn Fund. The singers are waiving rights to royalties and fees to support Let Girls Learn.
