'Star Wars' lover Reggie Watts serenades BB-8 on 'The Late Late Show'
As the adage goes, every king needs a queen, every artist, his muse, every Reggie Watts, his BB-8 — wait, what?
Yes. After teasing host James Corden during Tuesday’s Late Late Show, the bandleader finally revealed the real star in his artistic constellation. "I have a muse," he began. "I don’t know if you knew that, but I’ve been working very closely with this muse and kind of have been preparing something special for the show today."
"I should say that this muse is the inspiration for almost all of my music — everything after, like, age 13," he continued.
After some goading from Corden, Watts finally called out BB-8, whom he affectionately introduced as "B." Watts proceeded to translate for BB, conveying his enthusiasm about being on the show, before later launching into an electrical serenade.
"BB-8, you make me feel so good," Watts crooned. "So many circuits going back and forth, all that grand projecting Force, you’re the one I really love."
