Tom Hiddleston: Playing James Bond would be an 'extraordinary opportunity'

This photo is all the evidence we need that he'd make a good Bond.

We may not know who will take over the mantle of James Bond when Daniel Craig steps aside from the storied franchise, but we do have some ideas for some suave British gentlemen who would absolutely kill it in the part. And if we can't have Idris Elba (although we are definitely still holding out hope) we are fine with another one of the Internet's boyfriends: One Mr. Tom Hiddleston. And he's down with the idea of playing the role, too.

Loki himself discussed the possibility of taking on the iconic role with the Sunday Timesand he was very positive about it.

“I’m a huge fan of the series," he said. "We all went to see Spectre when we were shooting Skull Island in Hawaii. I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity.”

We agree with you, sir. We agree whole-heartedly.

And just in case you think he's being flippant about taking on a role of this magnitude, he's thought it through. He added, “And I’m very aware of the physicality of the job. I would not take it lightly.”

We would not take it lightly, either. But we would gif it. Because with this guy and this smile, how could you not?

If he were Bond and he smiled like that all the villains would just give up immediately. It's the perfect plan.
