AC/DC announced Monday they are rescheduling 10 upcoming dates on the U.S. leg of their Rock or Bust world tour because lead singer Brian Johnson risks total hearing loss.

The Australian hard-rock band, one of the louder bands in rock history, said in a press release that Johnson was advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss.

As a result, Tuesday's show in Atlanta through the Madison Square Garden show in New York in early April will be made up later in the year, likely with a guest vocalist.

The rescheduled shows include dates in Florida, North Carolina, Washington, Michigan, Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania. Check the band's website.

More information to come but current ticket holders can hold on to their tickets for the rescheduled dates or receive a refund at point of purchase.

Malcolm Young left AC/DC because of dementia

Other band members have had health issues in the past. In 2014, Malcolm Young, one of the band's two founding brothers, had to quit the band due to a dementia diagnosis. "Unfortunately, due to the nature of Malcolm's condition, he will not be returning to the band," the band said on its website at the time.
