Jason Sudeikis brings his Mitt Romney impression back to SNL
Former Saturday Night Live cast member Jason Sudeikis has been busy starring in movies and TV shows (including tonight's Last Man on Earth) and having a son, but he made time Saturday to return to SNL with his Mitt Romney that he did plenty during the 2012 election. (He comes in at 4:45.)
CNN's Jake Tapper (Beck Bennett) asks Romney about why he decided to give a speech against GOP candidate Donald Trump, who Romney calls "racist" and "sexist."
"We in the GOP, the party of the great Ronald Reagan, we do not say racist and sexist things. We imply them. Subtly. Over decades and decades of policy. So I felt I had to take matters into my own tan, manicured hands," said Sudeikis as Romney. "I chose to put Donald Trump on blast... He's a flim-flam man!"
He then warned viewers that he would curse.
"If you vote for Donald Trump, you're a sucker! Forgive me, Joseph Smith."
Sudeikis once explained onConan that doing Romney voice isn't so different from talking like George Clooney, who has a similar vocal "tone in my mind," he said.
"They both have great radio voices in the back of their throat... but they use their instrument in different ways."
Sudeikis realized that his impression is actually a lot like "when black standups do a white-guy voice."
