That time Jennifer Lawrence freaked out Berliners making 'Hunger Games'

Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) are in the thick of it in the final "Hunger Games" film.

Bringing the Hunger Games movie franchise to a close meant big battles and even bigger destruction. And for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, Jennifer Lawrence and crew went to Berlin to wade through the remnants of District Two and get to what's left of The Capitol as Katniss Everdeen and crew attempt to rescue her pal Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and take down President Snow (Donald Sutherland).

This exclusive behind-the-scene video from the cinematic finale shows how they went about creating bombed-out cities out of abandoned event space as well as an old Soviet military base.

However, they almost had an international incident. Lawrence shares a story about how, for the District Two scene, local Germans took a vote as to whether they wanted to destroy an old building and create something new, or make it a historical landmark. They went for the former:

"A week later, we had created basically a fake demolition site and so the whole neighborhood went crazy thinking that they were tearing the building down."

Mockingjay Part 2 is out on digital HD platforms March 8 and on Blu-ray and DVD March 22. And if you've somehow missed all four flicks, a collection is also hitting those same dates for all the Katniss you'd ever need.
