Peak Rebel: 10 times Wilson gave us comedic gold

Jaleesa M. Jones, and Ellen Back
USA TODAY
Our favorite Rebel.

Whether she's teaching audiences How to Be Single or just being aca-awesome in Pitch Perfect, Rebel Wilson always manages to hit all the right comedic notes. In honor of the funnywoman's 36th birthday, we took a look back on all the times the Aussie actress absolutely crushed it. (OK, maybe not every time — but these 10 moments more than prove her chops.)

1. When her character got tattooed in the back of a stranger's van in Bridesmaids (2011)

"It’s a Mexican drinking worm. It’s like a Native American symbol meaning 'wasted.'"

2. When she put her "neighbor" on blast for his noise complaint letter (2012)

"Dear neighbor, I am living somewhere behind you — freaky," the actress remarked.

"I am glad you are enjoying your new pool and hot tub but I am trying to sleep," she continued. "I can hear everything you say. Even the British accents." A pause. "See, I’m Australian…"

3. When she hit that Mick Jagger chicken dance on Fallon (2013)

And then tried her best to twerk.

4. When she had to turn off her #BBHMM mode at the 2013 Glamour Awards

“I really am so excited to receive this award tonight because I heard that there was a significant cash prize. What? There’s not? I am mildly excited to receive this award tonight because I very recently discovered there may not be a cash prize.”

(Warning: This video contains explicit language and is NSFW.)

5. When she performed the kitty cat rap with Ellen DeGeneres (2014)

#RebEllen doing it for the ’99 and the 2000.

6. When she shared her intense training for that pants-splitting scene in Pitch Perfect 2 (2015)

Just hanging around...

7. When she put us on game about how to pick up Justin Bieber

No shame here.

8. When she gave the 2016 Bachelor contestants the realest advice just in time for V-Day

“When it comes to guys, never compete with your own sister. Or your mum. Or your grandma.”

9. When she delivered this hilarious speech at the 2016 BAFTA Awards

“I have never been invited to the Oscars because, as you know, they are racist. But the BAFTAs have diverse members and that’s what we all want to see in life, isn’t it? Diverse members.”

10. Specifically, when she voiced all of our private thoughts about Idris Elba

“Sorry, Idris Elba, you’re making me a bit nervous," she admitted during her BAFTA speech. "I’m just sociologically programmed to want chocolate on Valentine’s Day."

Well...

Happy birthday, Rebel!
