Adele launches world tour by helping a fan propose

The church of Adele.

An arena full of fans had their lives changed at Adele's tour opener Monday night in Belfast—especially for two lucky audience members.

Adele offered up her services to any audience members interested in proposing. And since Monday was Leap Day—the day dedicated to letting ladies propose to their men free of unfair social stigma—a female fan came on stage and said she'd proposed to her boyfriend Neil earlier that day. He said.... "maybe."

So after getting an entire arena to goad him:

He said yes, and she literally jumped for joy:

She even offered to attend their wedding. "Essex? That's down the road from me, I"ll come." And if they're lucky, she'll sing a song or two.

We can only hope Adele's "Anyone want to propose?" is her own, upgraded version of Taylor Swift's "Please welcome to the stage" onstage gambit.

Also seen at the tour opener:

She rocked a sparking Burberry gown:

She's only wearing custom-made Burberry for the rest of her tour, just as she deserves.

Too gorgeous.

Lamented her sober life as a celebrity:

Don't worry, we'll have a few extra for you. Preferably while listening to When We Were Young and sobbing.

Sang Happy Birthday to a lucky, 21-year-old fan:

When Adele sings to you on your birthday, you know it's only downhill from there.
