Jethro Gibbs, just call him Gibbs, will be spending more time with the team at CBS drama NCIS.

The network announced Monday that it has renewed for two seasons the popular drama about the crime-solving team of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in Washington, D.C. In addition, Mark Harmon, who plays team leader Gibbs, has signed a two-year deal with CBS. NCIS (Tuesday, 8 ET/PT) is No. 1 among total TV viewers.

"It’s extraordinary that in its 13th season and with over 300 episodes to its credit, NCIS continues to excel at such a high level on a global scale,”  Glenn Geller, head of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement.“It is testimony to an amazing cast, led on and off the screen by the exceptional Mark Harmon, for skillfully bringing this universally appealing team of heroes to life; and to Gary Glasberg and his writers for crafting compelling stories that feature NCIS’s signature blend of mystery, quirk, drama and comedy every single week.”

The series has created two spinoffs for the network: NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans.

In January, NCIS favorite Michael Weatherly, who has played Agent Tony DiNozzo since the series started, announced he would be leaving the show at the end of this season.

At the time, Weatherly took to Twitter to express his feelings about DiNozzo, describing him as "a wonderful, quixotic character," adding, "I couldn't have had more fun playing him over the past 13 seasons."
