Charlie Sheen: 'I brought my HIV' to Elton John's AIDS benefit
A bunch of celebs turned out for Elton John's 24th Annual Oscar party to benefit his AIDS Foundation. Some stars — including Beck, Steven Tyler, Heidi Klum and Mariah Carey — watched the entire Academy Awards telecast from John's huge, tented West Hollywood soirée. Other famous faces showed up later just for the after-party.
Charlie Sheen was in the latter group, arriving well after the Academy Awards ended. No matter.
He made quite the entrance.
Asked to explain his outfit choice, he told ABC7:
"If somebody said, 'You're not wearing a tie.' Well, I'm at an AIDS event and I brought my HIV."
Yep, Sheen had arrived.
And he was indeed tie-less, opting instead to wear T-shirt, with his face on it, that seemed to serve as a PSA for HIV testing.
"Stay positively negative," it reads.
