Everybody's confused by Stacey Dash's appearance at the Oscars

The Clueless star made a confusing cameo at the Oscars Sunday night, bringing Black Twitter's inside joke to life and proving that not even she was in on the joke.

After a brief introduction by host Chris Rock, Dash walked on stage, wished the audience a happy Black History Month, and promptly left the stage again. It was met with a resounding "Huh?" from half the audience, and a cringe from the rest who most likely had to explain the joke to the other half.

Dash, a conservative commentator for Fox News, made some controversial comments on #OscarsSoWhite last month, stating that the controversy "ludicrous" and calling for an end to black-centric programming like BET.

African-American celebrities, notably Gabrielle Union, criticized Dash's comments and started the hashtag #WhosStacyDash as a means of making fun of her opinion. That joke came to life when Dash appeared onstage at the Oscars, showing either that she had no idea what the joke meant, or doesn't care.

Chrissy Teigen didn't seem to care for the joke either.

Only The Weeknd was really feeling it.
