Chris Rock's sorority joke takes Twitter

As expected, Oscars host Chris Rock made a lot of jokes about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy in his opening monologue. One in particular made waves on the Twitter-verse. Perhaps it was the easiest-to-type sound bite. Or because it was actually one of the most condescend jabs at the Academy, which nominated an embarrassingly small number of black artists, and the industry at large.

"Hollywood is sorority racist," Rock joked. "We really like you Ronda, but you're not a Kappa."

Twitter erupted with people adding their thoughts and opinions, as one does.
